Alarm chain

This scenario is recommended if you want to create an alarm system with your SmartHome devices.

You will find the “Alarm chain” scenario under Add scenarios in the Security category. Keep swiping the screen to the right until the scenario appears and tap on the screen to start creating the scenario.

1 – Detect burglar

Specify trigger

Select window

A trigger is opening of a window. Tap on the first green text and select the windows you wish to incorporate in this scenario.

Select motion detector

The other possible trigger is the detection of motion. Tap on the second green text and select the motion detectors you wish to incorporate in this scenario.

Specify condition

The condition in this scenario is that you are not at home. The “At home" status is already preselected. However, you can also use a status you have set up yourself. Tap on >>After 10 seconds<< to adjust the time delay.

Specify recipient

Your user account is already predefined as the recipient of the consumption warning. You can define the notification settings by tapping on your name. These settings include the content of the notification, the recipient(s) and the maximum number of push notifications to be sent within a certain timespan.

Specify alarm

In the last part of the first rule, specify which devices should issue an alarm signal.

2 – Activate alarm

Specify button

Select the button with which you wish to set the previously selected status to NO. Tap on >>Select switch<< and specify the switch and button with which you wish to activate the scenario.

3 – Deactivate alarm and siren

Also select the button with which you wish to deactivate the scenario.

Name scenario

After tapping on CONTINUE, give the scenario a name and a brief description. Now that your scenario is finished, tap on SAVE.
