How to connect the central unit
|1.||If the MEDION Smart Home central unit is still connected to a power source, press the power button on the device for at least three seconds to shut down the operating system.|
|2.||Once the LED in the power button has gone out, disconnect the connecting plug of the power pack.|
|3.||Lever off the covers of both the MEDION Smart Home central unit and the innogy plug-on module at the recesses.|
|4.||Place the innogy plug-on module on the MEDION Smart Home central unit in line with the grooves and push down until it engages.
|5.||Now secure both devices using the supplied screws inside the innogy plug-on module.|
|6.||Setzen Sie den Deckel wieder auf das innogy Aufsatzmodul.|
|7.||Place the cover back on the innogy plug-on module.
Plug the connecting plug of the power pack back into the device. You can now continue with the initial set-up.
Commissioning the central unit
A permanent Internet connection via an Internet router is recommended.
The Internet router must support automatic IP address allocation via DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol). Please refer to the documentation supplied with your internet router for information about how to set up your internet router for automatic address allocation.
|1.||Connect the MEDION Smart Home central unit to a free port on your router using a network cable ((installation instructions)).|
|2.||Connect the connector power pack included in delivery to the MEDION Smart Home central unit and plug it into an easily accessible 230 V socket.|
|3.||The latest software will be downloaded from the data centre and installed on your central unit. This process may take a few minutes.|
