Installation and commissioning

To install the wall-mounted transmitter, first disconnect the rear wall from the frame. To do so, move the wall-mounted transmitter with the LED downwards in front of you onto the table. Applying some light pressure, slide a small slotted screwdriver into the four lateral recesses on the sides of the frame. Then push the frame upwards and carefully remove it from the rear wall.

The frame and rocker switch form a unit and can therefore not be disconnected from each other.

Make a note of the serial number (12 digits beneath the barcode) attached to the device and the exact location of installation. You will need these later on for integrating the device in the SmartHome system.

To install the device, you can use screws or the adhesive strips supplied.

Installation with screws

If using screws, align the rear wall of the wall-mounted transmitter as required in the location of installation, and mark the locations of the mounting holes. The mounting holes are elongated holes, which means that minor adjustments can still be made later on.

Attention! When choosing the installation location and drilling close to existing switches or sockets, pay close attention to the course of electrical lines and existing supply lines.

Drill one hole for each marking into the wall. Insert the correct dowel (not included in delivery) into the holes, and secure the rear wall of the wall-mounted transmitter in place with two screws.

During installation, ensure that the device is aligned correctly. The TOP lettering imprinted on the rear wall must point upwards.

Do not place the frame with the rocker switch back in position yet so that you can still access the battery compartment.

Installation with adhesive strips

If using two double-sided adhesive strips for installation, first attach them to the marked surfaces on the rear of the device. Insert a battery and secure the wall-mounted transmitter to a suitable installation location.

During installation, ensure that the device is aligned correctly. The TOP lettering imprinted on the rear wall must point upwards.

Select an installation location where the adhesive strip cannot cause any damage to the surface.

Inserting the batteries

Insert the lithium battery (CR 2032) included in delivery into the battery compartment in accordance with the polarity markings (plus pole facing upwards). Then place the frame with the rocker switch back in position.

After the battery has been inserted, the wall-mounted transmitter is ready for operation. If a fault occurs, the LED flashes three times.
