Installation

Note that only the following cable cross-sections are approved for connecting the inwall dimmer:

Rigid cable Flexible cable without wire end sleeve [mm²]
0.75 – 1.50 0.75 – 1.50

Prior to installation, make a note of the serial number (12 digits beneath the barcode) in the battery compartment and the exact location of installation. You will need this later on for integrating the device in the system.

Mandatory information in accordance with the equipment safety standard (DIN VDE 0620-1).

 

There are two types of wiring depending on the pre-installed lines possible.

The installation steps are to be made in the appropriate circuit:

  1. Switch off the house circuit breaker in the circuit. 

  2. Remove the switch (if present).

  3. Make a note of the serial number located underneath the barcode. You will need this later on when integrating the device in your system

  4. Connect the conductor for the lamp/light (D) to the  terminal

  5. Connect the external conductor to terminal L.

  6. Connect the neutral conductor to terminal N.

  7. Connect the neutral conductor for the lamp/light (D) to the neutral conductor of the house installation (see Figure 1.1) or to terminal N (see Figure 1.2).

  8. Attach the inwall dimmer to the inwall box using the enclosed screws.

  9. Hold the frame on the inwall dimmer and attach the latter by pushing on the appropriate rocker adapter.

  10. Switch the house circuit breaker in the circuit back on.

  11. Integrate the inwall dimmer via SmartHome App in your SmartHome.

  12. Fit the rocker.
